Description
17, The Pavement is a substantial early 19th century building of four storeys and four windows, located on the north side of Clapham. It is constructed of stock brick with a moulded stucco band below the parapet and a cornice at the third-floor level. The windows are recessed and have sash glazing bars, some of which have been replaced. The first floor includes round arched recesses. A full-width patterned cast iron balcony is positioned beneath the first-floor windows. The ground floor features a contemporary shop front with a side entrance and pilasters, incorporating two shop windows and a central doorway flanked by Ionic columns.
