Description

This is a symmetrical terrace of houses located on Halsey Street, Battersea, built in the mid-19th century. It comprises numbers 24 to 47, and each house has three storeys and a basement, with a two-window facade. The houses are primarily brick construction, with the ground floor finished in channelled stucco. Window surrounds have stucco architraves, and a stucco cornice and blocking runs along the top of the building. The windows and door heads are square. The central block, numbers 34 to 37, is more elaborate, featuring pediments above the first-floor windows and a dentil cornice. Iron balconies are attached to the first-floor windows. Area railings are also present. The terrace forms a group with numbers 1 to 23 and is notable for its ample proportions and near-perfect condition.
