Description

A row of terraced houses located at Ovington Square, dating from 1845 to 1850 and designed by W.W. Pocock. The houses are four storeys high, with a basement, and some have had mansard attic additions. Most properties have two windows, but numbers 3 to 7, 31, and 33 have a single, tripartite window on the first floor, featuring engaged columns and a pediment. A modillion cornice and blocking course runs along the top of the facades. Doric porches are present at numbers 1 to 7, 31, and 33. A Doric colonnade with coupled columns is a prominent feature of numbers 17 to 23. A continuous stucco balustrade is positioned at first floor level, projecting over the porches. A balustraded parapet is still visible at numbers 17 and 19.
