Description

No. 189 Freston Road is a house, formerly known as Holy Trinity Clergy House, built in 1877 by architect R Norman Shaw. The building is constructed of red brick with painted stone dressings and features two storeys along with dormer windows. It has three main bays, with mullioned windows on the ground floor that are arranged in two-light and three-light configurations. The first floor windows are segmental headed, consisting of three lights with flush casements, timber mullions, and a transom. There are three dormer windows, with the two on the left side combined into one. Each dormer has three lights with casements and moulded timber cornices. The building has a brick cornice at the eaves. The entrance is located to the left and is set within an ogeed segmental arch with moulded jambs.
