Description

This is a terrace of fourteen houses located on Ladbroke Gardens, built between 1852 and 1857 in a florid classical style by T Allom. The houses are constructed of stuccoed material, with four storeys plus a basement and a roof attic. Each house has three windows, although the pairs of houses at either end feature bow windows extending up to the first floor. The entrances to numbers 1 to 11 are simple, while numbers 12 to 14 have Doric porches. A continuous iron balcony runs along the first floor, with the windows framed by pilasters and an entablature. The second-floor windows are round-arched, featuring shell tympanums. A bracketed cornice sits beneath the third storey, topped by a balustrade leading to the roof. Original area railings are also present.
