Description

This is a terrace of houses forming part of a formal stucco composition designed by George Basevi around 1825. The terrace comprises numbers 15 to 27 Pelham Crescent. Each house is three storeys high with a basement. The roofs are slate, with a mansard design and a two-window width. A continuous balustraded parapet sits above a modillion cornice. Projecting porches featuring lotus caps on the piers support inset round-headed doorways. A cast iron balcony runs along the entire facade at the first floor level, projecting forward over the porches. Ground floor windows also have balconies. The ground and first floor windows are square-headed with French casements. Spearhead area railings are present.
