Description

Numbers 2 to 5, Owen’s Row, are a group of mid- to late 18th-century terraced houses. They are constructed of yellow brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a visible roof of Welsh slate. Number 2 is three storeys high with dormers, and has a basement. Numbers 3 to 5 have been altered to four storeys over a basement. Each house has two windows. A round-arched entrance is framed by a wooden doorcase with plain reveals and pilasters supporting an open pediment. The windows are flat-arched; Number 2 originally had gauged brick heads on the ground floor only, while numbers 3 to 5 have them to the ground and first floors. A parapet tops the building. Cast-iron railings run along the steps and to the area.
