Description

Numbers 19, 20, and 21, along with their attached railings, are a group of three terraced houses dating to around 1835. They are constructed of yellow brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern, with stucco details, and have roofs hidden behind a parapet. Each house is three storeys tall, with a basement, and features two windows. All window and door openings have decorative brick arches. Number 19 has a round-arched entrance with a cornice, moulded archivolt, fanlight with decorative glazing, and a panelled door of its original design. The ground-floor windows of all three houses are also round-arched. A stucco sill band runs along the first floor. Upper-floor windows are flat-arched; those on the first floor are recessed under the round brick arches, which are linked by springing bands. The houses retain original sash windows: Number 19 has margin lights on the ground floor; Number 20 has intersecting tracery on the ground floor and first floor; and Number 21 has a sash window on the first floor. The parapet features brickwork mimicking triglyphs and guttae. The area is protected by cast-iron railings.
