Description
This is a terrace of five houses, located on Liverpool Road, Islington. They were likely built in 1812, although they may have been rebuilt in the 20th century. The houses are constructed of yellow stock bricks laid in a Flemish bond pattern, and have party-wall brick stacks. The roofs are hidden by parapets. The houses follow a side-hall entrance plan, with a staircase at the side. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with two windows at the front. Steps lead up to the entrances, which feature doorways with fluted, quarter-column jambs supporting a corniced head above. The original six-panelled doors have fanlights with curved and radial glazing bars. The windows are 6/6 sash windows with gauged brick flat arches above. The first-floor windows are full-length sashes with a stucco sill band, and original iron balconies are present at numbers 65-69, 71-75, and 77-81. The parapets are plain, with stone coping.
