Description

The electricity supply feeder pillar, dating from around 1900, is made of cast iron and was manufactured by Hardy and Padmore of Worcester. It has a rectangular box shape topped with a finial. The side panels feature scrolled interlacing designs surrounding a roundel that bears the manufacturer's stamp. The front of the pillar has an opening door adorned with Moorish decoration. This pillar is an unusual relic from the early days of electricity.
