Description

This is a row of two early 19th century houses, numbered 8 to 18 Lordship Lane, Tottenham. The properties were originally conceived as a pair, and each has three storeys and a basement, with a main block that is one window wide and a two-storey, one-window-wide entrance link set back. The houses are built of stock brick with stone-coped parapets. They have tripartite sash windows with gauged brick arches; some of the glazing bars have been replaced. A plaque between numbers 8 and 10 reads "1826 BRUCE TERRACE." The ground-floor windows have canopied wrought iron balconies, and the front doors are four-panel affairs with patterned fanlights. Numbers 8 to 18 form a cohesive group.
