Description
No 639 on High Road N17 is a two-storey and attic building, dated 1901 and 1914, designed in a neo-Jacobean style. It has a length of 14 windows and is constructed of red brick with abundant terracotta dressings and stone banding at the entrance bays, specifically the 5th and 8th bays. The building features scrolled and shaped gables at intervals, which are adorned with strapwork decoration and semicircular pediments topped with finials. Dormers are interspersed throughout the roof. At either end of the building, there are octagonal turrets topped with copper domes, supported by large terracotta corbels. The 5th bay includes a shallow prostyle porch with a legend in the frieze and a balustraded balcony above.
