Description
664 and 666 High Road is a house from the early 18th century that has been converted into two dwellings. The building stands three storeys high with a basement and features five windows in total. It is constructed of stock brick and has a stone-coped parapet. At the second floor level, there are two stone plaques that read "MOORE HOUSE." The windows have gauged flat brick arches and replaced recessed sash windows set in stucco-lined reveals. On the ground floor, there are two modern oriel bow windows with casements that include bars. Access to the doors, which are five-panelled with patterned fanlights, is via seven steps with wrought iron handrails. The basement is stuccoed and has modern windows, and there are wrought iron area railings. The houses numbered 662 to 670 (even) form a group with this building.
