Description
Rivercourt House is a house built around 1808, constructed of brown brick with some stone elements. It stands three storeys high with a basement and has a facade that is three windows wide. To the left, there is a projecting wing with a three-window wide splay-bay front, and there is a later addition on the right side. The building features a stone balustraded parapet above a modillion cornice. The windows are recessed sash types with glazing bars. The entrance porch is notable for its fluted Ionic columns, an open pediment, and an arched patterned fanlight that includes a lampholder. There is also a pedimented doorcase on the north (garden) front. Some interior features may date back to the 18th century, including certain entrances.
