Description

A substantial house, dating to approximately 1726. It is constructed of brown brick with red brick dressings. The house is three storeys high, with a basement, and has five bays. Red brick pilasters are present at the sides, and horizontal bands define the first and second floor levels. The windows are double-hung sashes, framed nearly flush with the brickwork, with red gauged flat arches above. A central entrance is marked by a Doric wood doorcase, featuring fluted pilasters, an entablature, a segmental open pediment, and a patterned fanlight. The entrance to the property at number 14, on the left-hand side, has a wood doorcase with a hood supported by carved consoles, and a glazed door that has been converted into a window. An old brick boundary wall runs along the north and east sides of the property.
