Description

This listing describes the pair of houses at 39 and 41 Ravenscourt Gardens, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco with slate roofs. They are two storeys high, each being one window wide, with a blind panel in the centre. Four full-height plain pilasters are a prominent feature. The front doors are set within recessed, pilastered porches, located in the centre bays. The ground floor windows on the outer bays are French casements with architrave surrounds; the upper windows are sash windows. The roofs are hipped and there are end chimney stacks. These houses are listed as part of a group that includes numbers 27 and 29, 35 and 37, 43 to 49 (odd numbers), and 44 to 64 (even numbers).
