Description
No 282 on North End Road is a house from the mid-19th century. It has two storeys and a basement, with a stuccoed and painted exterior. Originally a plain house, it has been extensively decorated in recent years. The building features four windows across the front, each with architrave surrounds and decorative sphinxes above the ground floor windows, which are small paned sashes. The main facade includes three pilasters and a projecting cornice, while the parapet is adorned with vases and a stone lion. There are cast iron railings leading to the front steps, and the doorcase located in the second bay from the left is an 18th-century import.
