Description

The Church of St John, located in Waltham Green, was built between 1827 and 1828 by architect George Ledwell Taylor, with alterations made by E P Warren in 1893. The church is constructed of yellow brick with stone dressings and features a low-pitched slate roof with a parapet. It is designed in the Early English Gothic style, featuring a tower at the west end, a nave with a clerestory, and a short chancel. Inside, there is an ornamental wood truss roof.
