Description
The Cock Public House is a public house built in the mid to later 19th century. It stands three storeys tall and has five bays. The exterior is finished in stucco, with blue and white tiles on the ground storey, which are now painted over. The ground storey features three doors placed alternately, with canted bays situated between Doric pilasters. The first-floor windows are large pane double-hung sashes, framed with architraves that include brackets and consoled pediments, along with a masked tympanum above. The second-floor windows are also architraved, featuring a band at the cill level and brackets. A dentilled cornice runs along the top, and a gilded cockerel is mounted centrally on the parapet.
