Description

The forecourt wall, gates, and railings to the Church of the Good Shepherd date from the 19th century. The low wall is constructed of snecked rubble and features a freestone coping. At regular intervals, there are tall square piers with quoins, strapwork friezes, and tall obelisk finials set on scrolled bases. Between these piers are wrought iron railings, and there is a wrought iron double gate situated between the taller piers, which includes lampholders.
