Description
Nos 9 and 11 on Stoke Newington Church Street are early to mid-18th century buildings. No 9 is three storeys high with two windows, constructed from stock brick and featuring a parapet and a high-pitched tiled roof. It has gauged flat red brick arches and red brick surrounds to the sash windows, which are of mid-19th century design. The ground floor has a modern shop front. No 11 is also three storeys tall with three windows, although the left window is blank. This building is made of brown brick with a parapet and red brick dressings, including a moulded cornice. It has a high-pitched pantiled roof and gauged segmental brick arches over the sash windows, which have glazing bars in exposed box frames. There are red brick quoins and window surrounds, and like No 9, it has a modern shop front on the ground floor. There is a blank wall section to the right of No 11.
