Description
Nos 540 to 544 on Kingsland Road are a large pair of buildings dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are three storeys tall, with two windows each in the main block. The buildings are constructed of stock brick and feature an altered parapet coping. They have a hipped roof that is slated with a moderate pitch and a central chimney. The windows have gauged flat brick arches and are replaced sash windows. There is a mid-19th century north wing that is two storeys tall with two windows, also featuring a parapet front with later coping and gauged flat brick arches to the sash windows. The forecourts have modern shops. Nos 540 to 570 form a group.
