Description
The ancillary building located to the north of the Engine House of the Metropolitan Water Board was constructed between 1854 and 1856 and has been altered since then. Designed by Chadwell Mylne, it is built from yellow brick and features a slate roof with a parapet. The west facade has an irregular form with five bays and stands two storeys high. There is a square-headed entrance in the second bay from the left, and the building has square-headed windows, with stone lintels on the left bay and gauged heads on the other windows. The returns of the building have crow-stepped gables and heavy buttresses that match those of the Engine House.
