Description
Nos 2 to 4 Birchin Lane, built in 1910 by W. Dunn and R. Watson for the Edinburgh Life Assurance Company, is a classical-style building featuring a stone facade. It has five bays and stands four storeys tall. The ground floor has plain rectangular openings, while the first and second floors display alternating bays. The first floor is notable for its central and outer windows, which are topped with prominent pedimented hoods supported on brackets, and it features a modillion cornice. The building is capped with a plain attic.
