Description
Mercer's School Hall and the adjoining buildings are a late 14th-century hall constructed of brick and timber framing, which has been refaced with yellow brick. The roof is made of timber and covered with tiles. Inside, there is 16th-century panelling and 17th-century stained glass. To the east, there is a later wing featuring an arched passage. Additionally, there is a single-storey wing to the south, dated 1805, which is also made of yellow brick and includes two round-arched windows, strip-pilasters, a cornice, and a blocking course with a tablet flanked by consoles. The site is scheduled as an ancient monument.
