Description
Nos 16 and 17 Bride Lane, dated 1840, were formerly the St Bride and Bridewell Precinct School. This classical building is constructed of yellow brick with Portland stone dressings and has two storeys plus a basement. It features round arched openings and a parapet at the roof. The front has three windows, with the middle one wider and set forward, accompanied by an entrance below and a pediment on paired brackets above. The basement windows on either side are elaborately designed. The east flank has five windows, with two of them also set forward.
