Description
Numbers 4 (The Pastor's House) and 5 (St Katharine's Hall) are two adjoining buildings that flank the Danish Church, constructed between 1826 and 1828 by Ambrose Poynter. They are made of grey stock brick with stone dressings and consist of two storeys and basements. The west facades of both buildings are gabled and feature moulded, pointed doorways with hoodmoulds, a first-floor sill band, and a centrally located 2-light traceried window with a hoodmould above each door. A stone string course runs along the top of the gable ends. The north and south elevations have buttresses topped with pinnacles. The interiors have not been inspected. Attached to the north and south elevations are arcaded screen walls that connect these buildings to the former domestic collegiate buildings located to the north and south of the precinct, which are numbers 1-3 and 6-9.
