Description
The archway to the former Pitt House garden is located in woodland approximately 5 meters east of North End Way and 9 meters north of the entrance to Inverforth Close. It dates from the mid-18th century and is constructed of multi-coloured stock brick with Portland stone dressings. The archway features a round arch with moulded stone impost bands and an open pediment. The flanking walls are capped with stone and terminate in piers. Historically, this archway served as the garden entrance to Pitt House, which has since been demolished.
