Description
The tomb of George Gilbert Scott Junior is located in the extension of St John's Churchyard and dates from around 1897. It is made of pink granite and features a bodystone type design with battered sides. The tomb supports a full-length plaque that displays a high relief cross. On the east end, there is a circular bronze plaque with an inscription. George Gilbert Scott Junior was a notable architect, the son of Sir George and the father of Sir Giles, contributing significantly to architecture in his own right.
