Description
The Tomb of Temple Moore is located in the extension of St John's Churchyard and dates from around 1920. It was created by Leslie T Moore, the son-in-law of the architect Temple Moore. The tomb is made of composition stone and features a rectangular recessed plaque with inscribed relief lettering in a Gothic style. Above this plaque is a smaller segmental-arched plaque that includes a carved relief of the crucifixion. Temple Moore, the architect, is noted for having enlarged St John's Hampstead in 1912 with a new Choir Vestry and Lady Chapel extension.
