Description

Willow Cottages is a terrace of nine cottages built around 1866 in Camden. The cottages are constructed of stucco with rusticated quoins and a decorative band to the first floor, and have slated roofs. They are two storeys high, with semi-basements, and each cottage has two windows. The doorways have square heads with splayed jambs, fanlights, and panelled doors. Nos. 33-37 have 20th-century Neo-Georgian doorcases and doors with arched heads. Stone steps with cast-iron railings provide access to the entrances. The windows are round-arched recessed sashes with splayed jambs; the ground floor windows have margin glazing. A shaped plaque inscribed "Willow Cottages" is located between the first-floor windows of Nos. 37 and 38. The interiors have not been inspected. The cottages were built on the site of earlier almshouses.
