Description

The animal drinking trough, located at the junction with Christchurch Hill, dates from the 19th century and is made of stone. It was presented by the Metropolitan Drinking Fountain & Cattle Trough Association, and this name is inscribed on one side of the trough. The trough features a single type design with an ogee-shaped headstone, spur stones on the roadside, and a pavement tray underneath.
