Description
Rock House is a detached house built in the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of brown brick and stands three storeys tall. The south front is double fronted with three windows. It features a well-crafted wooden Doric doorcase with an open pediment, a panelled door, and an overlight. The windows have gauged red brick flat arches and are slightly recessed gated sashes with exposed boxing. On the first floor, there are two projecting canted bay windows with bracketed cornices, flanking a single sash window above the entrance. The building has a parapet, and the right-hand return includes a shallow splayed bay window on the ground floor. There is a 20th-century single storey lean-to addition on the left side of the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected.
