Description
This is a terrace of thirteen houses built around 1845 to 1859. The houses are constructed of yellow stock brick with stucco dressings, a continuous sill band to the second floor, and a mutule cornice. The ground floors are channelled stucco. The buildings are four storeys high with basements, and each has two windows. They feature prostyle porticos (small projecting porches) and mostly panelled doors with overlights, all approached by steps. The ground floor windows are round-arched with keystones, and some have cast-iron window guards. The upper floor windows are architraved, with the first floor windows featuring console-bracketed pediments; numbers 60-62 and 66-68 have segmental pediments. Most houses have bowed cast-iron balconies extending over the porticos. The second-floor sashes have cornices, and the third-floor sashes have lugged sills. The interiors were not inspected. Attached to the front of the houses are cast-iron railings with spearhead finials to the area.
