Description

The Cottage is a building that originally served as stables and a coach house for Squires Mount, now functioning as a residence. It was constructed in the early to mid-19th century and features multi-coloured stock brick with red brick dressings that match the main house. The building has a hipped slated roof with projecting eaves and stands two storeys tall. The main east front has five windows, which are fitted with recessed sashes and have gauged red brick flat arches above them. The south end of the building includes a mid-19th century bay extension with arched openings on the ground floor. There are cast-iron balconies attached to the first-floor windows. The interior has not been inspected.
