Description

This is a terrace of 18 houses built around 1803-1806 by James Burton and constructed by W.E. Allen. The buildings are made of yellow stock bricks with stucco ground floors and feature a stucco sill band at the third floor level. Some houses, specifically Nos. 15-17 and Nos. 22 and 23, slightly project from the main facade. There is a gateway to the rear gardens located between Nos. 20 and 21.

The terrace consists of four storeys and basements, with each house having three windows. The round-arched doorways are framed with reeded door frames or sidelights, and most have two-leaf doors. Several houses, including Nos. 17, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 27, 28, and 29, feature patterned fanlights. Notably, No. 13 has had its door replaced with a window, and No. 19 has a mosaic top doorstep inscribed with the words "White Hall." The recessed sash windows have gauged brick flat arches, with most retaining their original glazing bars. Nos. 18, 19, and 20 display glazing bars that create patterns of octagons, squares, and ladders on the ground and first floors. Nos. 21 and 22 also have patterned glazing bars on the ground floor, while No. 26 features them on the first floor. The first-floor windows are adorned with cast-iron balconies, and the buildings have parapets. The rear elevations of Nos. 25-29 include bowed bays.

The interiors have not been inspected. The terrace is complemented by attached cast-iron railings with urn finials surrounding the areas.
