Description
The Post Office is a pair of estate cottages that have been converted into one house, dating from the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of large, coursed flints, featuring rusticated red brick quoins and dressings. It has two storeys and a hipped roof, with black glazed pantiles on the front slope and clay pantiles on the remainder. There is an internal chimney stack with a plain shaft. The front facade includes two 3-light casement windows, each with a single bar to the lights; the ground floor windows have arched heads to their surrounds. One door is a plank door, while the other has been replaced by a window. At the rear, there is a two-storey cross-wing built in similar materials, along with a long single-storey lean-to on the north side, which has a roof that slopes continuously with the main roof. The building is included for its group value.
