Description
Heazworth House is a house that has been converted into offices. It was built in the early 19th century and has undergone later alterations and an extension. The building is made of gault brick and features a slate roof with a brick stack that pierces the front slope of the roof.
The exterior consists of a two-storey front with three windows. To the right, there is a half-glazed door set within a round-headed doorcase. The ground floor has a central tripartite sash window arranged with two upper lights, a central light, and lower lights in a 2/2, 6/6, 2/2 configuration, along with one unhorned sash window to the left, which is 6/6. On the first floor, there are two similar sash windows separated by a central canted bay window, which also has a 2/2, 6/6, 2/2 arrangement. All upper sashes in the windows are decorated with Gothick glazing.
Inside, there is a staircase featuring a cast-iron balustrade.
