Description
1 and 2 Quakers Lane is a Friends' Meeting House built in 1833, which was converted into two dwellings in the 1930s. The building is constructed of red brick and features a hipped slate roof with brick stacks.
The exterior has a two-storey front with four windows facing north. This includes two central French windows and two Crittall windows above, which occupy the space where a projecting centerpiece was demolished. There is an additional Crittall window on each floor to the right and left. The south front retains a central projecting bay, which has two half-glazed Crittall doors, along with various symmetrically placed Crittall windows. The east and west sides of the building have a central pilaster strip.
Inside, there is no evidence of the original function of the building, as the conversion involved the construction of solid internal walls.
