Description

This is a churchyard monument located in Bury St Edmunds, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of York stone and is shaped like a coffin, with head and footstones. The headstone features a full figure of a flying angel in an oval, who is blowing a trumpet and holding a ribbon banner in his left hand, flanked by palm designs. There is no surviving inscription or date. Originally, there was an iron rail between the head and foot stones.
