Description

This is a limestone monument dedicated to General Sir James Affleck, Baronet, who died in 1833. It is located adjacent to the south side of the Church of St. Mary in Dalham. The monument features an obelisk on a square pedestal, which has a moulded cornice and plinth, and stands approximately 5 metres high. An inscription is carved on the south face of the monument. It is surrounded by an area of limestone paving slabs, and the kerb, which used to have iron railings set into it, extends from the south-west corner of the church tower to the south-west corner of the south aisle of St. Mary's Church.
