Description

Great Horringer Hall is a house that dates from the mid 19th century but has a core that originates from the 17th century. It has two storeys and attics, featuring four windows. The building is timber-framed and has a rough-cast rendered exterior. The roofs are covered with plain tiles and include axial and gable chimneys made of red brick. The windows are a mix of 19th-century sash windows and casements. The entrance door, which is from the mid 19th century, is adorned with pilasters and an entablature. The left gable chimney is from the 17th century, while the central range was rebuilt around 1850, and the wing to the right is from the early 17th century. The current house is located on the site of a medieval house that was built by the Abbey of St. Edmundsbury.
