Description

Shardilows Farmhouse is an early 19th century red brick house that exemplifies simple farm design from that period. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range with double-hung sash windows, each with a single vertical glazing bar, set in plain reveals topped with stuccoed flat arches. The entrance doorway includes panelled reveals, a fanlight, and a small hood. The roof is covered with slate. Along with the barns, it represents a good example of early 19th century farm architecture.
