Description

White Cottage is a 17th to 18th century timber-framed and plastered house that was originally a range of cottages, now converted into a single tenement. The building has one storey and attics, featuring casement windows with lattice leaded lights. There is a 20th century boarded door, and the roof is covered with corrugated iron over thatch, complete with five gabled dormers. The southeast end of the cottage is weatherboarded. The property underwent renovations in the 20th century. White Cottage is part of a group that includes Oak House, Honeysuckle Cottage, Meadow Cottage, and Hill Rise.
