Description

The Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century. It has one-and-a-half storeys and is constructed with a timber frame and plaster, featuring comb-patterned pargetting arranged in diagonal rows. The roof is covered with plain tiles. Inside, there is an internal chimney stack with a plain white brick shaft, and the entrance is through a lobby. The house has early 20th-century casement windows, including a two-light and a one-light, as well as four gabled dormers with two-light casements. There is also a small 19th-century enclosed gabled porch made of colour-washed flint and brick, which includes a panelled door.
