Description
The Old Rectory is an early 19th-century red brick house located in Ousden. It features two storeys and attics, with a gabled end at the northeast. The building has a five-window range, with double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars, set in plain reveals. These windows are topped with stuccoed cornice lintels supported by stub brackets. The entrance consists of a six-panel door with raised and fielded panels, which is sheltered by a 20th-century glazed porch. The attics are illuminated by a bulls eye window in the gable. A double brick band runs between the storeys, and the slate roof is adorned with grouped circular shafted chimneys on rectangular panelled bases, indicating the presence of an earlier structure.
