Description
Hanchet End Cottage is a house dating from the mid-17th century. It features a timber-frame structure that is plastered and colourwashed, topped with a thatched roof that has a ridge stack positioned over the door. The layout follows a lobby entrance plan.
On the exterior, there is a central 20th-century porch with a plank door. To the left of the door, there are two early 19th-century lattice casements; one is a two-light window, while the other is a single-light. To the right of the door, there is a similar two-light casement, along with two early 20th-century windows. The gable ends have two-light 20th-century casements that provide light to the attic. The interior has not been inspected.
