Description

This limestone tomb-chest is located 3 metres north of the chancel of St. Petronella's Church. It commemorates Jane, the wife of John Brown, who died in 1818. The tomb-chest is oblong in shape and features simple mouldings. On top of the chest is a casket with splayed sides, a moulded top and base, and splayed-out bracket feet. Each of the long sides of the casket has an epitaph inscribed on it.
