Description

This milestone, located about 40 meters south-southwest of the Church of St. Mary, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is made of square freestone and stands approximately 1 meter high, with a slight taper towards a pyramidal head. The milestone is partially buried and features inscriptions indicating distances: to the left, it reads "9M. To Scole"; to the right, "14M. To Bury"; and on the rear, "96M. To London" and "27M. To Norwich".
