Description
Old Timbers is a house dating from the 17th century, which was refronted in the early 19th century and altered in the 20th century. It has a timber frame that is plastered and refronted in knapped flint with red brick dressings, topped with a thatched roof. The house consists of two cells with an end stack and has one storey plus an attic. The central entrance is flanked by cross casements, all featuring cambered heads. The eaves are cogged, with moulded bricks flanking a three-light dormer at the front and on the left end. The right end has an internal stack with a rebuilt capping. The left end is plastered and has one and two-light casements, along with exposed plates and purlins. At the rear, there is an added external stack on the left and a plain-tiled brick lean-to outshut from the 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
